Packaging design elements include shapes,
colors, textures, symbols, and illustrations. The packaging
shapes and textures were larger and more noticeable
compared to the symbols, texts, and illustrations.
However, the combination of these two groups of
design elements, e.g., an arrow on a lid, was helpful
for older people in identifying opening methods to
minimize trials and errors.
