Abstract

The objective of study is to acquire townhome floor plan which response the need and life style of
people in Mahasarakham province. The result of study can considerate as a guide line for real estate business
in Mahasarakham province. The study is a qualitative research using the “Snow Ball technique “for select the
key informants. The key informants consisted of 3 groups of buyers: The people 1) key informants who want
to rent, 2) key informants who want to buy for living and 3) key informants who want to buy for rent. The
people of key informant have 3-5 people for each group. The data of research collected by invite key informant
to visit the sample town home which the Mongkhol village was built to show for customer. Researchers

interviewed and observed the feelings of the key informants while they visit the sample town home. The tools
for collect information are 1) the structured interviews, 2) behavioral diagrams 3) notebook, 4) camera, and
5) audio recorder. The content analysis was divided and summarized into two parts: 1) Space requirement
2) Size of space.

The results of this research showed that the location of the living room should be in front of the
house. The kitchen and dining room can be adjacent or compatible, and should be located in the back of the

house but not outside the house. The master bedroom should be located in the 2 floor in the front of the
house. The small bedroom should be located on the 2 floor in the back of the house and the number of

small bedroom should be 1 or 2 bed rooms. The number of restroom should be 1 or 2 restroom. The restroom

should be located on 1 on the 2 floor and each floor should have 1 restroom. The size of living area should
