Abstract

Working within a design office is important for various positions. interact together in work This
results in the exchange of ideas, perspectives, and even helping each other in teamwork, resulting in better
work efficiency . However, today's office design sometimes encourages or Minimize opportunities for
interaction within the office. This research aims to investigate what factors influence the interactions of

people working together within the design office. This research is a qualitative research. which attempts to
understand the phenomena that occur in the design office in depth to find out the factors that affect the
interaction By collecting data with design people who have different positions within a design office of 8

people, namely the position of 1 design director, 1 senior architect position, 1 architect position, 2 senior
decorator positions and the position Three interior decorators conducted an in-depth interview and
selected a structured interview to collect data on various factors. The physical and individual effects of
interactions were used to analyze the results. Content analysis (contens alynasis) to determine the factors

affecting the interaction of designers. Research has shown that floor plans, perspectives and sounds
influence opportunities, making people want to interact and exchange ideas at work. While temperature
and light do not interact with each other in design work, they do affect human emotions. Concentration

affects concentration at work. In addition, this research can be used to study with other design offices to
design factors that support future design work.
