Philosophy, Importance and Objectives of the Program
Philosophy
King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang’s (KMITL) Built Environment Intelligence (BE.I) program. The Full Name of Degree is Bachelor of Science in Architecture (International Program) is founded on the academic foundation of enhancing interactions between the built environment and the people within it. This philosophy reflects the principles explored in discussions of how architecture integrates with digital technologies to create seamless environments that are both functional and harmonious with human needs. Our curriculum emphasizes the integration of Construction Management, Design Thinking, Digital Architecture, and Sustainable Design. By focusing on the synthesis of technology and proven building design principles, the program prepares students to tackle architectural challenges with the deployment of innovative design solutions that consider the building aesthetics & functions, technical requirements, human-centric design principles and sustainability. We are committed to developing graduates whom are not only technically proficient and creatively gifted but also ethically responsible towards society and the built environment. This philosophy is reinforced by our dedication to a symbiotic economy and augmented creativity, ensuring our students are prepared to excel in a globally interconnected and technologically advanced future. The BE.I learning environment encourages innovative thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and ethical professionalism, nurturing future leaders poised to innovate for a better world, aligned with global digital governance and sustainable practices. (See more details in Appendix H)

Importance of the program
From the rapidly changing of the design process ideas and current construction technology which including the development of economy, society, culture, and language, resulting in technological leap, the way of living, and the emergence of new technology such as Building Information Modeling: BIM, Artificial Intelligence: AI, Augmented Reality: AR which causes changes at the global level in the architectural profession, including concepts and design theories. The using of tools and technology expand the scope of learning and practice without limiting knowledge to design. Not only to meet the aesthetic needs but also a design to develop and respond to the utility that is more complex of different needs. There is a consideration of the integrated building resource management through a combination of creative thinking along with the understanding and applying computer technology innovations. Through the process of designing, drawing, estimation, presentation, construction control and building resource management, an economic basis society and culture of the country that is continuously changing into internationalization. From the above reasons taken into consideration Bachelor of Science Program in Architectural Intelligence and Design Thinking (international program) appropriate for changes to the above situation and supports the establishment.
Objectives
Empowering the next generation of architects, engineers, and designers, the Built Environment Intelligence (BE.I) program at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang’s (KMITL), School of Architecture, Art & Design (AAD) stands as a beacon of future-oriented Higher Education (HE). Anchored by our goal ‘The World Master of Innovation,’ we envision our graduates as pivotal creators in an ever-evolving global landscape, where human intelligence merges seamlessly with advanced technological expertise. This program is designed not only to cultivate strong competencies in architectural and built environment design but also to instill a profound understanding of the latest digital and sustainable design innovations. As the future of the built environment industries career landscape evolves, our graduates will be equipped with advanced decision-making tools and latest research & data analytical methods, enabling them to propose innovative design solutions effectively. Our graduates will lead the way in designing living and working spaces that respect both ecological balance and the dynamic needs of future societies, embodying our School of AAD vision to be ‘We, the Future Creator.’ Graduates will emerge as eventual industry leaders, adept at tackling increasingly complex global challenges with creativity, critical thinking,
